Electrifying a muscle car was a challenging undertaking, but one that has resulted in big performance payoffs. Riding on Stellantis’s upcoming large electric vehicle platform, it is expected to deliver up to 500 miles of range. Although not much is known about the powertrain, the concept is set to produce some serious power. The entry-level 340 model will produce 455 horsepower while the mid-range 440 model will boast 590 ponies. A high-performance trim, known as the SRT Banshee, will use an all-wheel-drive 800-volt architecture, and it’s expected to be the most powerful model. It’s also set to be a two-door coupe with a liftback trunk, and the Charger Daytona SRT concept will feature a unique chambered exhaust system that will imitate the sound of the outgoing supercharged V-8 SRT Hellcat model.

The Pear will be built in Ohio by Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn, at the Lordstown Assembly plant which it acquired last fall. Fisker has already started accepting reservations for the Pear, with a minimum initial production of 250,000 units per year. With this new model, Fisker aims to provide “intuitive controls, sporty driving, clever storage, and a focus on industry firsts” to its customers.

Porsche is set to launch an all-electric version of its best-selling Macan SUV for the 2024 model year. The Macan EV will be built on a new electric platform shared with the upcoming Audi A6 e-tron, which should allow for significantly more range than Porsche’s current electric offering, the Taycan. Porsche has not released details on the Macan EV’s powertrain, but it is expected to feature trims similar to the gas-powered Macan, with a more powerful S model and a range-topping GTS. The Macan EV’s official range figures have not been released yet, but Porsche claims that it will have significantly more range than the current Taycan, which has an EPA-estimated range of up to 227 miles. The Macan EV is expected to offer two battery sizes. The 800-volt architecture is also expected to be utilized in the Macan EV, allowing for rapid charging at up to 270 kilowatts. More information about the Macan EV’s range, charging capabilities, and battery life will be available closer to its release date.
